ABOUT US: Our Covenant |
|
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.” (Ephesians 1:3-6)
Having been chosen by God and drawn by the Spirit to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, I do joyfully enter into this covenant with this fellowship as one body in Christ, according to the following affirmations and commitments:
Having been chosen by God and drawn by the Spirit to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, I do joyfully enter into this covenant with this fellowship as one body in Christ, according to the following affirmations and commitments:
- I believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, were verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (Timothy 3:14-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
- I believe the Lord Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, the only Savior of sinners, as described in the gospel. Who died, was buried and rose again for our justification and the guarantee of our future glorification and that He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father ruling and reigning with Him. (John 10:30; John 14:6; Romans 4:25-5:2; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 1:9-11)
- I believe that the Lord is personally coming again to receive His children to Himself and to judge the world. I believe that this blessed hope has a vital bearing on my personal life and service. I believe that until His return I am to live my life by the power of the Spirit, in such a way that it brings glory to God through His Son my Savior. (John 14:1-3; I Corinthians 15:51-52; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:13-14; I John 3:1-3)
- I acknowledge myself to be a sinner in the sight of God, justly deserving His wrath, and without hope, except in God’s sovereign mercy, love, and grace to save me. (Romans 1:18, 3:10-12; Ephesians 2:4-10)
- Having repented of my sins in response to God’s call, I commit to be a diligent disciple of my Lord Jesus Christ, for His glory and my own good. (Luke 24:45-47; 2 Peter 3:9; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Timothy 2:15)
